FAQs
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Your initial visit begins with a detailed conversation about your health history, symptoms, and goals. From there, your therapist will complete a physical assessment and begin gentle, hands-on treatment designed specifically for your body’s needs. You’ll also have time to ask questions and discuss next steps in your care plan.
What types of therapy do you offer?
Collins Physio offers Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, and Manual Therapy, Acupuncture, Dry Needling and more—gentle, evidence-informed approaches that support your body’s natural ability to heal, move, and find balance.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to book an appointment. You can contact us directly to schedule your session.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. Avoid bulky or restrictive items, as your therapist may need access to certain areas of the body to assess and treat effectively.
How long is each session?
Sessions typically last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on your individual treatment plan and goals.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies from person to person. Some clients feel noticeable improvement after just a few visits, while others benefit from ongoing care to support recovery or maintain overall wellness. Your therapist will discuss a recommended treatment plan with you after your first appointment.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Treatment is not covered by OHIP. Most extended health insurance plans include coverage for physiotherapy. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm your individual benefits. Receipts are provided for all appointments.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that you do your best to honour your scheduled appointment. We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations will incur a $60 fee.
